Do you want to know how much it costs to maintain your pool? Do you want to know, how you can save on energy, water and chemicals? A new App for Smart Phones lets you calculate costs and savings.

With the "Swimming Pool Energy and Water Savings Calculator" pool owners can calculate the average, annual cost of energy, water and chemicals as well as the average, annual amount of evaporated water and hydrocarbon output generated by residential pools.

Based on given data including a comprehensive study by the U.S. Department of Energy the calculator than compares the data with potential savings which could be achieved by installing an automatic pool cover.

To be fair, it has to be said, that the “Swimming Pool Energy and Water Savings Calculator” App  was developed by Pool Cover Specialist National, Inc., an independently-owned manufacturer of automatic-pool-covers, but the data which is used is fair and square.

Jamie Snyder of The Albert Landscaping Group has recommended the use pool covers ever since. “Pool covers are a great safety feature, help to safe a energy and cut down on the chemicals”, he explains. In fact, the energy savings can be as high as 85%, evaporation can reduced by as much as 93%.

According to Bruce Grogg, CEO of Pool Cover Specialists, who is quoted in the press release for the Calculator APP, savings can run as high as “$3000 to $4000 per year and 15,000 to 20,000 gallons of evaporated water, simply by incorporating an automatic pool.”

If you want to know more about pool covers and how to incorporate one in your swimming pool design or add one to your existing swimming pool, contact Jamie Snyser of The Albert Landscaping Group.
