Albert Group Landscaping's rise to the top

jamie owner albert group landscapingIn the early months of 2005 Albert Group Landscaping, Inc. was formed by Jamie Albert Snyder (shown here). Jamie had been working with another company for 10 years. He started out as a laborer and worked his way up to management. During that time he watched his boss lose interest in the business and decided it was time to strike out on his own. 

It was slow going at first but Jamie was mindful of few basic principles that he believes still sets himself apart from the competition today.

It doesn't sound like much but when you dig deeper into these core principles a lot more is revealed. "When I was 14 and had my first job - recalls Jamie - one thing I hated doing was mopping floors. One day I went home and told my Mom how I didn't like it and she taught me something that sticks with me to this day. She said it didn't matter if I liked it or not and that when I agreed to take that job I in essence agreed to do the best job I could - no matter what." That's what made Jamie leave where he was working and start his own company. He says "looking back I should have done it sooner. The owner of the company no longer cared about quality. The pride was gone. So I decided it was time to move forward."

Growth against the odds

Albert Group Landscaping started off better than anyone could have imagined. Within one week there was enough work on the books to keep them busy for the year. By the end of the first month there were 4 employees. Things kept on like that right up until the economy went south in late 2008. But Jamie stayed focused and was able to maintain modest growth through the bad economy. When other companies were shutting their doors Albert Group was expanding! The main thing that has kept us at the top is how we view our business in general. Jamie wants his customers to know we don't specialize in landscapes or swimming pools - we specialize in making families happy!
